Proti Foods products are based on the following principles: a limited intake of sugars, a limited intake of carbohydrates, a balanced intake of protein and vegetable fats along with proper intake of fiber, vitamins and minerals.

The benefit of using Proti Foods products are: effective weight loss, reduction of body fat, protecting lean muscle mass, and maintenance of ideal body weight. Weight loss occurs when your daily intake of calories is less than your body’s daily caloric usage based on your energy levels.

We offer a 1000 calorie diet. If an individual’s daily requirement of calories is not met the body will compensate by drawing on its own reserves, such as fat storage and lean body tissue to maintain its energy requirements. Because dieters are always concerned with eliminating unwanted fat stores and not lean body tissue, protein supplementation is necessary. To maintain lean body tissue while on a calorie restricted diet on average between 80 and 120 grams of protein is recommended daily. Protein supplements must contain high quality protein with a proportional ratio of carbohydrates, remain low in overall calories, and should contain essential amino acids.

Protein, like carbohydrates, supplies calories which provide the body energy. However, the body uses more energy to break down protein. Your body will burn more calories converting protein into energy than it will converting simple carbohydrates.

Your body mass index (BMI) is an assessment used by general practitioners and health experts to determine if a person is underweight, overweight or within a healthy weight range. BMI below 20 is considered to be underweight, 20-25 is healthy, 25-30 generally is considered overweight and over 30 is obese. To find your body’s BMI multiply your weight in pounds by 704, divided by your height in inches squared.

While following this diet you should have a lean meat or proteinwith your evening meal that consists of chicken or fish and plenty of vegetables.
